Studying The Perceptions of Parents and Students on Special Education Interventions

Parents of students with special education services (IEPs) please note.

If your child receives special education services we want to know: how you perceive the impact of the delivery of such services on your child’s academic and behavioral outcomes.

A doctoral student from the department of Educational Leadership and Management at Alliant International University is conducting a research program to study this topic. For Your Participation, you will receive a free educational consultation (at the completion of the study) and your child will receive a gift card to Target, Borders, or Old Navy. This study will interview 10 parents of students (grades 3-12) with active IEPS (Mild-Moderate Disabilities). This interview will focus on their experiences working within a special education system to advocate for their child’s needs. This study will gently interview the 10 students (from parents above) to gather information on how they feel about their experiences within special education.

CONFIDENTIALITY will be maintained throughout the study. No personal names will be used. Contact (619) 741-9044 - Andrea

Want to Network with other Parents of Special Education Children?

Meet other local people dealing with special education issues as parents, teachers, and/or community service providers. Gather to share your experiences, progress, problems, and thoughts with one another. Discuss hot topics. Recommend books and strategies. Feel encouraged and supported.

Next event is June 28 at 3pm in San Diego.
